Top SiriusXM podcaster Megyn Kelly announced on Thursday that she has an upcoming interview with the leading 2024 Republican presidential contender Donald Trump.

“I want to start today with a big announcement, huge, you might say,” Kelly said to open her show. “Here at ‘The Megyn Kelly Show,’ we have welcomed many of the 2024 contenders. Vivek Ramaswamy has been on a bunch of times, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Chris Christie.”

“You may remember my lengthy sit down just last month or late July with Governor Ron DeSantis. Even RFKJ has been here since his announcement as well as before,” she added, using Democratic contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s initials.

“But next week I will be interviewing former President Donald Trump,” she said. “It will be my first interview with the former president in seven years, and there is so much to get to. I am really looking forward to this. It is going to be great.”

“It’s going to be spicy, and it’s going to be tough, but it’s going to be good, and hopefully we both are going to enjoy it,” Kelly noted further. “I think you all are going to enjoy it a lot too. We are going to have a lot of time to get into a variety of topics in person, sitting down with him in person.”

She added that the full interview will air Sept. 14 at noon Eastern time and then become available on all major streaming platforms.

“I am really looking forward to bringing you this one and many more to come,” Kelly explained. “I’m very glad that he agreed to do it. He’s not saying yes to everyone and to his credit Donald Trump knows that I’m not somebody that suffers from Trump derangement syndrome like the vast majority of people in the media but I’m also not a sycophant.

“So I’m not going to go in there and be a boot licker,” she concluded, adding, “It’s going to be fun, and he can handle it perfectly well.”

In another development, Kelly said during her Wednesday broadcast that she regretted getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

She said that she has not allowed her children to get the vaccine but explained she has gotten it and then took a booster due to her age — 52 — and her work requirements. But she now believes the vax is responsible for her sudden onset of an autoimmune diagnosis.

“I regret getting the vaccine even though I am a 52-year-old woman because I don’t think I needed it,” Kelly told journalist David Zweig. “I think I would have been fine. I’ve gotten COVID many times, and it was well past when the vaccine was doing what it was supposed to be doing.”

“For the first time, I tested positive for an autoimmune issue at my annual physical,” she revealed. “And I went to the best rheumatologist in New York, and I asked her, do you think this could have to do with the fact that I got the damn booster and then got COVID within three weeks? And she said yes. ‘Yes.’ I wasn’t the only one she’d seen that with.”

In April 2021, Kelly wrote on Twitter, now X: “Am getting the [Johnson & Johnson] vaccine this [weekend]. Have zero qualms [because] have spent a life immersed in a media obsessed with fear-mongering that is often irresponsible and untrue. Do what your doctor tells you to do and ignore everyone else.”

Her attitude toward the vaccines, however, eventually shifted after she saw what they were reportedly doing to friends, colleagues, and others she knew, as well as her own experience with the virusseveralf times.
